By installing and using the "New Tab!" extension (hereinafter "the extension"), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the extension.

2. Description of Service

The extension provides a customized experience for your Chrome new tab page. It allows users to view the current date and time, check the weather, and add shortcuts to favorite websites. All personalized information is stored locally on your device via chrome.storage for ease of access and customization. The extension does not collect personal data or share information with third parties.

3. Required Permissions

To provide its functionalities, the extension requires the following permissions:

• Storage: Allows the storage of shortcuts, preferences, and configurations locally.
• Host permission: Allows access to external API services, such as weather updates, when the user activates the relevant feature.

4. Privacy Policy

The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All personalized information, such as shortcuts and display preferences, is stored locally in the browser’s chrome.storage. The extension does not access sensitive information nor track your browsing activity.

5. Third-Party Services

The extension may use third-party services, such as weather providers, to display information. These services are entirely optional and are only accessed when the user activates the corresponding feature. Each provider may have its own privacy policies and terms of service, which are not under our control.

6. Limitation of Liability

The "Custom New Tab" extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the extension, including but not limited to data loss or service interruptions.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Modifications will take effect upon posting. By continuing to use the extension after such changes, you agree to the updated terms.
